Who we are :
GenXPro GmbH was founded in 2005 by researchers of the University of Frankfurt and the University of Paris, after receiving the patent for SuperSAGE, a transcript profiling technology developed together with researchers from the Iwate Biotechnology Research Center, (Kitakami Japan) and the Charite (Berlin, Germany). GenXPro started to commercialize services for gene expression profiling and DNA markers worldwide. GenXPro was the first service-provider for deep SuperSAGE using next generation sequencing and soon developed its portfolio around the new sequencing technologies.
In 2008, we invented a technique to avoid PCR-introduced bias, a major problem of all sequence-based, quantitative data like digital gene expression, digital karyotyping or methylation specific digital karyotyping (patent pending) and introduced “SuperTag digital gene expression profiling” (ST-DGE) an advanced version of SuperSAGE.
Our service portfolio was soon extended to the analysis of normalized cDNA, the analysis of microRNAs and their target messenger RNAs using PARE, and the analysis of other non-coding RNAs, but also includes qRT-PCR, 3'- and 5'-RACE.
For epigentics and genotyping, we adapted our techniques and included digital karyotypig, methylation specific digital karyotyping and our “enzyme anchored genotyping”, which reduces complex genomes to smaller and better comparable datasets.
For the increasing demand for data-managment and bioinformatics, our team of skilled bioinformaticians designs individual solutions and apply the most advanced software available for standard applications using our powerful CPU cluster.
GenXPro additionally has a strong capacity and dedication for technology development, and is presently working on a tag-based technique for global prokaryotic gene expression profiling, still missing in the repertoire of gene expression technologies.
